பனித்துளி நாட்டியம்

பச்சை இலைகளின் 

மேலே ஆடும் 

பனித்துளிகளின் 

பரதநாட்டியம்!

இலைகளின் நரம்பின்

ஊடே ஓடும் 

இம்மி அளவே 

துளிகள் ஆடும்!

மதில் மேல் பூனை 

என்னும் பழஞ்சொல்

மனதினில் வந்து 

நிற்கும் போகும் 

வெள்ளித் துளியாய் 

மனதில் நிறைந்து 

வைரத் தொளியாய்

நெஞ்சை நிமிர்த்தும்!

நிலவின் அமுதத்

துளிகளை விழுங்கி

நெஞ்சம் போதை 

தனில் தள்ளாடும்!!

பருவ மாற்றம் 

தருமோர் பசுமை 

உள்ளம் நிறைக்கும் 

உவகை ஊற்றாய்!

கோடி கோடியாய் 

இன்பம் மனதைக் 

கொள்ளை கொண்டு 

போயிடும் எனினும்

அத்தனையும் ஓர் 

அரைக்கண வாழ்வே! 

ஆடும் பனித்துளி 

போலே மறையும்!

அடுத்த கணத்தில்

இல்லா தாகும்!

கண்களின் வழியே 

கண்ணீர்த் துளியும்

பனித்துளி போல் தான் 

படபடத் திறங்கிக்

கன்னக் கதுப்பினில் 

சரிந்தே ஓடும் 

காவியக் கனவுகள் 

கலைந்தே போகும் !

கண்ணிமை கனக்கும் !

காலம் சிரிக்கும் !

கணமோ யுகமாய்

பரந்து விரியும் !

Ballerinas dancing on green leaves 

Like cats on hot tin roofs 

Glimmering and luminescent 

With hearts of diamonds 

Little moon drops drunk on life 

Staggeringly high on monsoon madness 

Coruscating inside their wet insides 

Bubbles of enchantment 

With tiny life spans 

Dew drops like tear drops 

Wiped off the cheek
